Evenings with weekend day rotation.Job Description:Responsible for the collection and processing of laboratory specimens, registering patients, ordering laboratory tests, sorting and distributing laboratory reports, answering phones, specimen labeling, transporting samples between collection sites and the laboratory, must demonstrate absolute accuracy in patient identification, specimen labeling and have knowledge of test requirements as well as other duties related to department specific needs. Requires the ability to professionally portray the Laboratory’s image by demonstrating pleasant and courteous mannerisms. Qualifications:Required:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Phlebotomy certificate
Working knowledge of Word and Excel Software
Computer classes / experience
Medical terminology
Clinical experience in a hospital setting
